The Sahara Desert Ants

It was a hot afternoon in the sahara desert when a group of desert ants left their home in the Mastic trees to scavenge for dead insects. The sun was exceptionally scorching like never before. The sahara deserts ants have been able to adapt to the extreme weather conditions.

The leader of the sahara deserts ants found a brook nearby that was surrounded by dead insects. As the leader lead the way, they arrived at a brook where a lot of dead insects were found and more than enough to feed the tribe for a month. So he began to divide into groups and supervised how the ants should pick dead insects to take back to their home in the mastic trees.

The sahara deserts ants were doing this for a week until the humans came. The leader of the sahara deserts ants had no idea why the humans would come to the place where they sourced for their foods.

The humans wanted to build an underground dwelling and after finding a brook nearby, they decided to choose the brook as the best location to start building. This was a bad timing for the sahara deserts ants. The oldest leader in the tribe warned the ants to hold on, leaving the Mastic trees to source their food. Unfortunately, The current leader was not willing to listen.

He believed if the humans were allowed to dominate where they source their food from, there will be no food for the tribe. The oldest was of the opinion that if they left to scavenge food, the humans had different ways of exterminating the sahara deserts ants.

This resulted in a conflict between the two leaders. This lead to a division in the tribe. The younger sahara desert ants were in support of the current leader. They were excited and could not wait to defile the oldest leader instructions. At night, the youngest leader with some of his supporters decided to defile the warnings of the oldest member in the tribe to scavenge for dead insects. He believed sourcing for at night was the best time because that is when the humans are going to be sleeping.

From nowhere, the leader of the current sahara desert ants noticed a sand storm wrecking havoc at the humans tents. The humans were in disorder because they never expected that there would be a sand storm where they mounted their nets. The sand storms was so strong that six nets were removed.

The humans had no choice but to hide in their cars. This was a big win for the sahara deserts ants. Now they can go back to scavenge for dead insects beside the brook.
