A Legacy Of Lies Chapter I: The Telling Tavern.

•Him: I tried not to stare as the stranger made a way across the worn oak floor. She seems to be searching for something…or perhaps someone? Looking around myself, I notice that most of the costumers tried not to look at her, either intensely studying their wooden beer mugs, or wearing a mask of neutrality as the figure practically hovered over the floor. Unfortunately, at that very moment I had chosen to sneak a peak of this odd figure, and we made eye contact. The eyes were a startling mixture of a deep lake blue and a swirling magenta, that could hypnotize even the most stoic warrior into either laughing or crying out loud for no reason. The skin was as a brown forest mushroom, and looking closely, I could see small, semi-transparent scales that covered small sections of the narrow cheeks and forehead. But even that wasn’t the most startling of the observations, as it seems that most creatures have mixed blood with dragons. No, this stranger had something…well, strange. As my gaze started to wander around the face, I could barely surpass a gasp, as I didn’t want to give away just yet what the figure was hiding…that this tall, slim being was an Elf.

•Her: I’m making my way silently across to the other side of the WhistleReed Tavern, hoping to gather more information about him. The drinkers and buyers around the barstools are gurgling and consuming their share as vultures around a poor, begotten animal. While the ones around the tables are intently glaring at the dirty, stained floor, obviously ignoring me. Sighing quietly, I scan the dimly-lit room closely with my, as some would rudely say, unusual eyes. Ah. There he is, causally tip-tapping his bare foot against the wooden beams. He’s obviously trying not to look at me, but that’s nothing new. Then, I happen to catch him in my gaze, and watch amusingly as the hypnotized look comes into his soft pine-green eyes. I chuckle softly, but seriously, what’s with my gaze that entraps others so?

(P.S: I may add more to this later!)
