WRITING OBSTACLE

Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.

In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.

Home

One may be able to describe how their home is, though it may be tough, but I’d have to say demonstrating is much harder. The way ones home can be peaceful or chaotic or silent, the feeling must be so incapacitating. I know I can describe my own, well my two homes anyways. One is chaotic but everyone gets along, the atmosphere never dull, dogs playing and people usually talking or watching tv, and the other is silent as nobody speaks unless it’s arguing, dinner being tense and mentally draining. With these two descriptions, how could one solidify what is and isn’t a home? Is it somewhere you can be yourself or, the house you live in, it’s hard to say for sure, the second home I described would be in the second option, but the first home would go into the first category. Although as you may think, me describing them, is nowhere near as difficult as demonstrating it. the cozy chaos, the tense silence, it’s something that can leave you awestricken.
