POEM STARTER
The Revelation
Write a poem with a structured rhyme scheme, using this as the title.
The Revelation
The bells begin to chime once more
The students leave flocking to the door
But you have chosen to stay behind
The empty halls of school seemed divine
You do not care
Nor show your face
Keeping quit even on the summer days
The words they speak out of spite
Slowly fade away as you walk in moonlight
Here in a room
You’re still pretty blue
White carnations are in bloom
The black dog can only stare
The silence is comforting
Slowly but surely you look ahead of yourself
When days go by
You see no reason why
to sit alone in the classroom
With sunflowers on your dress
Blue birds chirp and build their nests
A new day and new you
Even if you start becoming blue
This time you can reach the skys and beyond
Take pride in yourself
And enjoy what you can
