How will you use this scenario to compliment the dialogue?

WASD To Move

Theo's character bounces up and down on Annalise's computer screen as the video game spins a wheel on who gets to be the hider and who gets to be the seeker. Meanwhile, she's waiting for their Discord call to come through while playing the online game.

It's just the two of them on a multiplayer server, preferring to be by themselves after what had happened during the entirety of the week at school. The Discord accept call sound effect rings, and Theo is now connected to her.

"Hey man," He greets from the other side of the computer, his character in-game jumping up and down. "how you doing?"

"I'm doing alright, I guess." Annalise responds in a softer tone, biting the inside of her cheek as she looked around the game arena after the hider and the seeker were announced. "You?"

"Terrible." Theo barked out a laugh. The game starts, giving the hider some time to look around for a place to stay hidden while the seeker is frozen in place with a black screen blinding their sight. "The group chat's been quiet since *that* happened."

"Oh, yeah.." Annalise hums, her finger typing swiftly across the WASD keys and her mouse moving around. "I just... you know.. yeah. It kinda sucked that it had to end this way."

"I get it," Theo responded, still pre-occupied in the game. "You okay, though? Tasha's been worried about you since yesterday. She's also been pretty quiet lately. Pretty sure it's somewhat related to you."

"I'm fine, really. It's just that..." Annalise trails off, trying to find the right words to say to her friend as she briefly paused for half a second before continuing. "It was bound to happen anyway. I've been noticing how much they'd look at each other when I say something stupid, and it really kinda fucked me up, y'know?"

For a good few seconds, Theo is quiet. The game announces that the seeker can now move and look for the hider, but he doesn't say anything except for the faint noise of his fingers clicking on the keyboard and the sound of his mouse beginning to move.

"Just leave them be, An." Theo eventually says, weakly comforting her. "They're just assholes."

Annalise let out a humorless laugh, appreciating Theo's amateur attempt at comforting her. "Thank you, Theo."

She doesn't realize it, but a smile gradually grew on her face the longer they talked and played.
