The Little Blue Car.
Zoom zoom as fast as we can. High up the hill, right to the top. Round and round to win the race. Zoom zoom, round we go. Over take the other cars and across the line, beep beep.
The little car had traveled far and wide. To the tallest of mountain peaks, to the fastest of race tracks. All in the imagination of his little child.
From when the sun rose, his little blue door flew open and off they travel to new and exciting places. Around the world they had gone, through snow and ice, slipping and sliding. Through desert sands, wheels sinking. Laughing through the rain forests. Driving side by side with the animals in Africa, and racing with lions and dodging the huge grey feet of the ginormous elephants. And when the suns set and his door closed and his child went to bed, the little blue car sighed and closed his eyes and dreamt of the next adventure to come.
Time flew by for the little blue car and soon play time became less. He was moved into a cold dark room where he saw the little child no more. The imagination was lost, and so were the roads of the world. There he stayed for years and years growing older and weaker day by day. He longed for the days that where now in the past, longed to travel that path.
The little blue car thought that time was over until light flooded the dark space. Was this his chance to see that world again, to see his child of old again? He closed his eyes tight and couldn’t look as he moved out of the dark place. One last chance he thought to himself, once more to explore.
His friend of old was not there though, and he knew now that time was over. Placed on the grass at the front of the house, he looked out at the world. The real world, so different from where he had traveled. He knew then that he was old, maybe his chances were gone.
The door of the little blue car flew open. He felt the weight of someone small in his seat. The steering wheel turned and he knew he was off, his last chance to see the world he once knew.
Zoom zoom, beep beep. He raced along the roads of this child’s mind, through towns and city’s this time. Around farms and over dirt roads he moved. The little blue car had his chance again to live with a child and help him to grow.
Zoom zoom, beep beep went the little blue car, before he would eventually become no more.
