Old Wild West
I’m riding through the desert,
And I come across a noise…
“What is that?” I ask myself.
“Stay calm, a rattlesnake!” I stay poised.
The snake is hissing and is coiled.
I’m very scared, it’s coming on my leg!
My horse neighs, and the snake bites.
“No, your horse, Greg!”
The rattlesnake releases the venom,
As my horse screams for pain.
But there’s nothing I can do about it!
The venom is in the veins.
I just look at the mountains,
As I cry out for help.
But I realize no one is coming,
And my horse takes its last yelp.
Now, I’m without a horse,
Thank goodness the snake’s going away.
I try to find water in the valley,
There is none, but for my horse, I have to stay.
