Write an ode to something that others perceive as silly, but matters a lot to you.

An ode is a type of lyrical poem that typically addresses a particular subject in a positive and glorifying light.

Each Light.

Each light Is another life Waiting to unfold its untold story. For I have seen city homes, Above sky high clouds Slowly drowning in exultation. Though it is not much, Those silent lights, Sit in darkness Gradually revealing themselves Into something Individually diverting.

Not sure if I’m reading it correctly, but feels like maybe the “silly” part is looking out the window when you’re in a plane? Seeing the city below, noticing that each of the lights below is connected to someone.

“Waiting to unfold it’s untold story” is a good line, reads well. (I think it should be “its,” though.) You may also want to revisit the second “unfold” to avoid being redundant.

I don’t get the line, “slowly drowning in exultation,” but somehow I totally feel what it means (if that makes sense, lol).
