Tade’s Voice

Tade Hench was a young girl that came from a family of poverty. All she could do is hope, dream, and pray. She was absolutely beautiful with melanin skin and short kinky hair that barely covers her eyes. Reading books was all she did. She never talked much although she had a great vocabulary. Her father was a hardworking man, but what he brought to the table was not enough to provide well for the family. Tade always asked her father, ”May I go to work with you dad?”. He always responded with a kiss on the forehead and sent her to read. One day Tade decided that she was tired of reading and started singing for comfort. She had a voice of an angel! Her father overheard her singing one night and wanted to show off his daughters beautiful voice. He finally decided to bring her to work with him. Tade sang songs all day long for the hardworking men and women. They were touched by her voice and began tipping her. When she got home she saved her money in her favorite book, The Holy Bible. She prayed every night before bed. Tades father brought her to work with him every day. Tade loved to sing to put smiles on everyone face. The manager was a man of wealth. He was suffering from cancer and nobody at the job knew of his life outside of work. He approached Tade one day and said “You have such a beautiful voice. I remember when my daughter was your age, we were deep in poverty but she always sing for comfort. I been looking forward to come to work just to hear you sing because it feels like my daughter is still here with me.” The man passed months later. When Tade turned eighteen her family got evicted, her father had been fired, and they were falling deeper into poverty. She used all of her tips she made on food and shelter for the family. But God! Tade has received the old manager’s wealth because he put her in his will! He had no one left and knew of the family struggles. She received everything he owned. It was all in her name and it was all hers! She shared her wealth with her family and continued to pray and help others in poverty.
