Sad Story, Bro.
Since I’m technically only allowed to write fiction on here… let me tell y’all a little story.
There once was a blind girl named Maranda. And though she couldn’t see, she was—in the truest sense of the word—a writer, through and through.
But Maranda had a problem. A real problem. Even though she had vivid characters living in her mind and entire stories swirling around in her head like a tornado of creativity, she couldn’t express them. You see, she’d long since had to toss the old notebook and pen method.
So, what did she do? She went out and bought herself a brand-new MacBook. And guess what happened next?
She brought that motherfucker home and had no damn clue how to use it.
Now, there’s this amazing feature on both iPhones and MacBooks called VoiceOver. And Maranda? She was a self-proclaimed pro when it came to using it on her iPhone. So naturally, being the dense little blonde she was, she assumed VoiceOver on the MacBook would be the same—or at least similar.
What a mistake.
So now, poor little Maranda has no idea how she’s going to write this novel. And that, my friends, is the tragic, ridiculous, and slightly pathetic story of Maranda Quinn Bandy.
Hope y’all enjoyed.
