POEM STARTER
If wishes fell like rain, then certainly I am a storm.
Write a poem with this as the opening or closing line.
The Giver
I will shower you in everything I have,
My hands, my lips, my chest.
My eyes would pop from their sockets
And roll to you, if you so wished.
And if my body isn’t enough for you,
Then certainly I can change.
I can break what you hate
And build something you could love.
But when bones aren’t enough,
You have my actions, my will.
When the world has been set ablaze,
Know that I did it for your heart.
For your satisfaction is my glory,
I will be your knight, your horse, your servant.
Your desires are granted, but only by me.
For if wishes fell like rain, certainly I am the storm.
