The stars smiled upon us

As if they knew we’d soon joined them

I looked up and sighed

And hold her hand in mine

We’ll see it through to the end

We’ll be together until the very end

And the end would come too soon

And too late and not quick enough

And it was now us against the world

And us together as one

And the world in front was bleeding

And waiting on us and invinting

And we’ll see it through
