Up In Flames

Once I was made of stone,

Steady, strong, and sure.

Beautiful in a quiet way,

Built to last, to endure.

But you slowly dismantled me,

Wore me paper thin,

Drenched me in gasoline,

Set the fire within.

The flames rose, fierce and wild,

Dancing in your steady gaze.

I crumbled slowly into ash,

Consumed by your wicked blaze.

When nothing but dust was left of me,

I crawled into your veins.

Now I flow through you forever,

Until we both go up in flames.
