Shady, dusty, dark,

The alleyway getting smaller,

Lurking, peering, shadow,

Its getting closer,

Evil intent, glooming, grinning,

Holding out a hand,

Shiny, huge, bundled,

Layers around a block,

Velvet, smooth, delicate to touch,

Open it up and you find a book,

Pinecone scent, paper of ink, new but old,

A few coins in his hand and he is gone,
