Ensnared

A chambered heart, unsecured, unprepared.

Two lockpickers approach the chambered heart.

And they pick and pick till I’m ensnared.

You say, I must choose but where shall I start?

The listener or the adventurer?

Captured heart, tangled by two steel-linked threads.

I’m an aimless, loveless venturer.

A woman who dreads to look where she treads.

I can’t trample my love, or burn bonds.

Voices so heavenly, I am devout.

Time with both is like magic without wands.

What do you mean I must figure it out?

Fine, I’ll find the answer you both seek.

Please, my precious loves just give me a week!
