No ill sentiments.

No trips to the store.

No endless quest for “more”.

The Sun rises and smiles across the sky.

The breeze blows in the trees.

Light bounces on the leaves.

Nothing to do today but soak it all in.

Thank you, Life.

A very unique and creative take on the prompt. You’ve captured that sentiment of feeling contented with things as they are, without drama.

I particular like “light bounces on the leaves” and the final closing statement.

Couple of pointers:

“Time flies slowly” is an oxymoron. Sometimes this can be intentional but I’m not sure if this is the effect you were looking for here? For example, you could try something like “Time courses, patiently today”.

One thing I’ve been working on is subtlety, and showing not telling the reader all the details, so they have to work it out themselves.

E.g. “The Sun rises and Smiles, arcing across the Sky

Hooray.

Hooray!

Her journey is unrushed, contented”

Here, the reader can tell that time is moving slowly without you telling them.
