Danny crossing The line
The call ended abruptly, and Farrah stood frozen in the porch, staring at her phone in disbelief. Her fingers trembled as she replayed the words her mother had just said in her mind. “Let’s not do this, okay? I didn’t desire to bring up regards to Danny. I just thought we could have some peace and quiet for once.”
Her bloodshot eyes burned as she fought back the tears threatening to spill. The words, through meant to calm her, had only triggered her anger. Farrah’s frustration boiled over, and she screamed into the quiet evening, her voice echoing in the still air.
The look on her mother’s face when she dropped the line-it wasn’t just the words that stung. It was the tension hanging between them. Thalia attempted to to see the situation had only made it worse. The two of them hadn’t been able to have a peaceful moment without bringing up old wounds-especially about her father,Danny. Farrah’s hated that she couldn’t talk to her mom without the past creeping in.
As the anger simmered in her chest, Farrah’s mind wandered to the misunderstood call. What was Thalia really trying to say? Was she trying to say? Was she trying to to push Farrah away, or just protect her from the truth?
The next day, when Farrah attempted to talk to her mom, everything felt off. Thalia was distant, leaving Farrah wondering if they would ever have that peace they both desperately needed. The misunderstanding between them seemed endless-especially when they spoke of Danny.
The entire situation left Farrah feeling more alone than ever, trapped in a cycle of misunderstanding, her mind reeling with confusion and the weight of unspoken words.
