Waiting

She waited and hoped, waited and hoped

She wanted him to finally tell her what he thought

His opinions were hidden like they were cloaked

She waited longer than she ought

It was a constant thought in her head

Always there, always waiting

An obsessive thought that would arrive when she thought she was ahead

Couldn’t he just tell her what he thought instead of debating

She waited in anticipation

A constant hope of what to come

Until she realized

She was waiting for something that was dumb

She was waiting for something that would never be devised
