The Golden Days

Smudges of white on a bright blue sky,

Sunlight dapples gently through the trees.

The flowers sway to the rhythm of the breeze,

Busy bees buzz as they fly by.

Gleeful birds sing from their branches high,

The scent of barbecue fills the air.

Children laugh and play without care,

Summer love blooms in the heat of July.

So bask in the beauty and kiss the sun,

Open your heart, run wild and free,

For days like these are soon to pass.

Feel the wind in your hair, Let go and have fun,

Let the heat of Somerset you free,

Enjoy these golden days while they still last.
