It easier to tell,

someone the truth,

when you can’t see,

their face.

For if we see,

the reaction,

our words are clipped short,

with lies by omission.

Telling the whole truth,

is not light work.

It’s our own emotion,

that processes.

Yet we can confess,

when the room is devoid.

Appearing alone with our

thoughts, yet knowing

One’s presence.
