The Flowers

“Come on! Let’s go, Summer,” Marley Bass says to Summer Price as they were standing outside the new apartment they were going to live in. “I don’t wanna go, it looks weird, and look through that window! Can you see what I see up there?” Summer replies. “Oh, what is it?” “Never mind..” “Okay, let’s go. If not tell me what you were gonna say.” “Okay fine!” The two teenagers walk into the apartment building. “Hello?” Marley says. They walk around for at least ten minutes by finding nothing. “Let’s just steal a key and go to the room number on it.” “Okay..” Summer walks to where the cashier should be and took a key. They walk up to the room once they look at the number. “231.” “Why. Is that just a coincidence, or is someone or something following us or somethin’??” Marley says. “Probably just a coincidence.” “Aight, let’s keep going. Door 147.” The two walk as fast and far as they could and as they get to a bigger part of the little hallway they see a sign that says ‘beware the scare! Of these delicious snacks! (Get a free cookie if ya want!’ With a picture of a pirate’s parrot and a monster that kids would just laugh at then be scared of. “Come on, let’s go there,” Marley says. “No!” Summer said quickly. Marley pulls her toward the booth. They take two cookies and keep going. “Look! The room on the key,” Marley says. “Finally..” Summer says. They try to open the door. “Open!” Summer said. The couple walks into the room and the first thing they see is a pot of flowers on the edge of the counter in the kitchen right next to them. “It’s late. Come, let’s find our rooms,” Once Summer found her room she immediately stared at the flowers on her windowsill. Then she goes to sleep. -----------(the flower's POV)

I crawl onto the floor and look at the new girl. Apparently called ‘Summer’. Perfect as my victim. I crawl into the ‘black form’ and hover over her head and see into her mind. She hates and is very scared of objects like me, the ones that have forms and powers. I show my fangs like a snake’s. I sense she feels scared of the sounds I make as I crawl across the floor. I imagine her scream. I’m excited. “Your perfect,” I say to myself. -------Summers POV

“What is behind me..?” I say. “Oh God what is that?” “I feel something.” Gosh. What the heck. “Oh, hel-”
