I cannot seem to get this right,

I’ve been up trying half the night.

It seems there is no end in sight,

I think I’m pulling it too tight!

I tried to learn it from a friend

But that just drove her round the bend.

The start got mixed up with the end,

Her time with me she did suspend!

I saw some lessons on the net

I do not feel I’ve got it yet,

This is something I regret,

I think I’ve tangled up my pet!

I bought a pattern in a store,

That wasn’t what I went there for,

This is becoming quite a bore,

My husband’s running out the door!

I really just feel such a twit

All I want to do is knit.

I’ll try and focus for a bit,

Now this is really looking ….
