I’m now twenty-one, And I’m ready for fun, I’m letting twenty go Along with all it’s woe. Another year Has come and gone, This day is over, Soon another will dawn, Time is so crazy As it comes and goes, It’s laughter and tears As we learn and grow. I’m ready for a season Of happiness and joy, Not that life’s sorrows I would avoid, I have learned Many lessons, And have many More questions, In the midst of The bitter I’ve found the Needed glitter, Felt the sweetest morsels against the storms wrath, Some of the best times Have been on this rugged path, I’m grateful for every Moment so far Even the times That have left deep scars, But I look ahead With hope for a year That will leave me Shedding a few less tears, A year of happiness, Joy and peace, A heart and mind, Happily at ease.
