Fifer?

“Who the hell are you!” Fifer screams to the princess, pushing her up against the wall, her backpack falling to the ground, Fifer not having a clue who they were speaking too.

“You don’t know who I am?” A startled Snow responds. She was surprised; did this stranger really not know who she was?

“Am I supposed too?” Fifer growls. They are trying to intimidate her, but they can tell by her glass eyes that it isn’t working.

Snow manages to wiggle out of Fifers grip and pushes them away. “Yes! Yes, you’re supposed to!” She stands with one hand on her hip, a stale impression on her face as she watches Fifer glance up and down her body. Fifers eyes expanded, as they gulps realising who has just stumbled into their house.

“Oh my god, you’re the princess!” Fifer expresses, putting a hand up to their lip in shock. They awkwardly try to bow. “Your majesty- I mean, your royal highness?… I’m sorry, I’ve never met anyone like you before!” They sigh, their breath becoming unsteady now.

Snow laughs slightly, “you should be grateful for that.” She didn’t really know what she meant when she spoke those words, all she did know is that from her point of view, she wouldn’t want to meet the family she came from, with everything that’s just happened.

Fifer didn’t question what she said. “So, what’s your name?”

“Fifer.”

“Fifer? As in, Michelle Pfeiffer! I love he-“

“NO! Fifer. F-I-F-E-R” they interrupt, their tone bitter, hinting that this probably not the first time somebody has made that reference.

“Anyway, what the hell are you doing in my cottage!” Fifer’s expression tense’s up. They were so taken in by the princesses presence that they almost let her off the hook.

“Your cottage? This place has been abandoned for years!”

“Then why did you break through the window?”

“Um… so nobody would see me?”

“And why don’t you want to be seen?”

“Why do you ask so many questions!” Snows voice now reaching the same bitterness as Fifer’s. Fifer takes a step closer.

“Because, I’m pretty sure if somebody broke into your fancy palace, you would want to know why as well. So tell me, Your Royal Highness… what are you doing in my cottage?” Silencing hung in the air for a moment, Snow suddenly become uptight and tense, remembering the true reason why ran to this abandoned cottage in the first place. Or at least, thought was abandoned. Snow absorbed a huge amount of oxygen before she speaks.

“I may have accidentally killed my dad so the chance of me becoming queen are very slim and I really don’t want that to happen so I ran away to this cottage because I thought nobody would find me, but… but now you’re here you’ll probably just report me.” Her voice trembles as she speaks, Fifer realising how terrified the young princess is. Her eyes lock with theirs, Snow admiring the tiny freckles that decorate their face. She starts to calm down before she throws Fifer and unexpected question.

“Will you let me stay here? Will you help me, Fifer?”
