The time has finally come

For me to leave this earth;

I’ve seen countless changes

In the world since my birth.

I’ve lived a long life,

Filled with joy and pain;

Please don’t cry, my children,

For I know I’ll see you again.

I do not fear the crossing,

For my soul is right with God.

I can almost hear the angels singing

Their joyful, heavenly song.

So as I say goodbye

To all of you, who are so dear to me,

Remember after I’m gone

Everything is just as it is meant to be.
