POEM STARTER
If I count the ways I love you...
Write a story or poem that could have this as its title.
Red Love
If I count the ways I love you,
With words that weave, and verse that’s true,
From dawn to dusk, from depths to heights,
A love that burns with pure delight.
Your smile, a beacon in the dark,
Ignites a flame and leaves its mark.
Your touch, electric, sets me free,
Unveiled desires locked in me.
But love untamed, it knows no bounds,
And soon the poison seeps within.
From passion's bloom to bitter strife,
Our love transforms, consumes our life.
Like roses thorned with hidden pain,
Our hearts conjoined, yet torn again.
The love we shared, once sweet and pure,
Now fuels a fire, and burning sure.
For in this dance of light and shade,
Our love succumbs to hatred's blade.
Two souls entwined but torn apart,
A love that tore and broke my heart.
So if I counted all the ways,
Love turned to hate in endless days,
I'll still remember what we had,
A blaze of passion, good and bad.
