My alarm started blaring at 6:30 I smashed the snooze button three times before I was actually alert enough to get myself out of bed. I stumbled into the bathroom Peed and turned on the shower. The shower was nice and hot now and I lavished my self in sudsy body wash. When it came to shampooing there was A bottle I had never seen before and I never had seen in the store either, No time to figure it out now. Where this came from I didn’t know? I took off the cap And gave it a sniff it was actually very pleasant so I said what the hell and lathered up my hair. It foamed up wonderfully! In fact it made my hair soft and manageable where I usually couldn’t decide what to do with it…..It felt great, in fact I thought it was the best stuff I’ve ever used. I finished up in the shower and got dressed and noticed how magnificent my hair looked. It styled perfectly, it did everything I wanted it to do in fact I felt great,for once I thought - everything is exactly right on point and my hair looks damn good. I had a really big presentation to put on today. We were bidding for a new company’s account and appearances are everything. As luck would have it everything fell into place perfectly, too perfectly. It is as though the whole day was orchestrated for everything to work out for me. I felt like a million bucks and my confidence kept building. Every one kept complimenting me on my hair… “Nice hair hunter!” I haven’t done anything at all to my hair but the more people that people complemented me the more my confidence grew. I couldn’t believe the day I was having! I got a cab on the first try, got my Newspaper for free and then caught the elevator with the beautiful girl from accounting. She gave me a blueberry muffin with a napkin and her phone number! It was like I could do no wrong I landed the account and two others we had been working on for months. My bosses were so thrilled with everything I had accomplished they gave me the rest of the day off! I treated myself to an afternoon at the ballpark complete with a couple of hotdogs and cold beer and a 50/5o raffle ticket. During the bottom of the sixth I caught a fly ball and our home team was up by three runs. Than I heard over the public address system a voice boom out #30072 as the lucky winner of the fifty fifty raffle! That was my numbers!!! That afternoon’s drawing was worth $25000 dollars! I was shaking all over! My body felt like a lightning rod. Congratulations Mr Benson! The park manager handed over my check. “Dude if you don’t mind me asking who does your hair? I smiled and pocketed the check and everyone shook my hand. I headed home in disbelief . As I was crossing the street I noticed a piece of paper skittering about my feet and found a Powerball ticket for five draws for this evening dancing around my feet. I caught the ticket and looked over the numbers. I never had an inclination to buy these things. Here one was at my feet! Yes ,this certainly had to be a sign. My life was never like this. I was usually late disorganized and always seem to be behind. No one ever notices me. I couldn’t put my finger on it - I tucked the ticket in my pocket and headed home through crowds of jovial winning Cardinals fans. All I could do was beam this big cheesy smile as neighbors waved to me, people spoke to me and girls even flirted with me! Wow! What happened to me today!? I got home and plopped down on the couch and reviewed this perfect days events. I turned on the tv as there was only a few minutes before the lottery drawing realizing it all started in the shower.
