She Is Free

Walks in with two kids.

Looks around,

Eyes possible bids,

Leaves without a sound.

Next day back.

Looks elsewhere,

Eyes a plaque,

Leaves with blank stare.

Everyday return.

Looks for something,

Eyes that flicker, burn,

Leaves with hollow being.

Wave with no return.

Looks distant, alone,

Eyes so stern,

Leaves a hopeless crone.

Then finds it.

Looks upon in love,

Eyes show heart slit,

Leave with freedom of dove.

Back with smile so bright.

Looks and greets me,

Eyes full of light,

Stays, she is free.
