Welcome
The world shifts, the air leaves his lungs. There was a long shoot that he slid down, moving farther and farther down. Where was he going? What was happening?
Closing his eyes right, he felt as if the world was flashing by. Was he moving down into the center of the earth? Falling in Wonderland?
From the last moment, he remembered the black darkness of the unconscious, and then nothing. And in the flash of his eyes, this was where he ended up.
With a gulp, he finally made it to the bottom. Taking a deep breath, after landing on his knees, he tipped his head back, glancing around. He found himself in a room entirely empty, only white walls and floors, no windows. There wasn’t even furniture.
What the hell?
Out of nowhere, another man appeared, as if through a wall. He was wearing long black robes, a hood over his head, but his stubbled chin and dark eyes were noticeable.
The man didn’t smile, hardly blinked. His hands were folded in front of himself, and his voice crackled like a machine.
“Welcome to the afterlife. Where would you like to begin?”
