POEM STARTER
Write a poem about seeing the face of someone you love.
Whether romantic, platonic, or familial love, use emotive language to convery the feeling you get when you see this person.
The Face I Might Never See Again
Your face.
I never saw enough of it.
But when I did, you saw me for who I was.
And I loved you for that.
Your face.
I should have said something before it was too late.
But when I saw your face, I could not remember how I was,
Let alone why I was there.
And I loved you for that.
Your face.
I should have talked with you more often.
But when we did, I did not have to pretend.
And I loved you for that.
Your face.
Your smile.
Your laughter.
I loved you for that.
I'm sorry.
I lied.
I said ‘loved’ in the past tense,
But I should've said ‘love’.
