The sidewalk hums a song As street lamps buzz and whirr me on Tapping me in to play along Though the band is long since gone With only my echo to slightly encourage I belt a chorus and silly little verses Reaching a bridge as I come to the bridge Another song spawns as this one surges Playing out the melody that I now tread A thought never crosses to go to bed Untill another song starts to surface ahead I’m guided only by a sweetening ballad
