POEM STARTER
Compose a poem centred around the theme of love languages.
Love languages refer to the ways in which we express and feel love.
Love Together
I read your poem
Late at night
It made me think
Of things I like
Sweetness and joy
Bliss and unexpected twists
As my eyes roved down your poem
I stopped and frowned
Love? Flexible?
Don’t clown around
My love would never waver for you
My love would never dry
If you want flowers with written notes
Simply stick a note on me and watch me bloom
Your gaze gives me warmth
Watch my petals open at your command
If you want more hugs
My arms are always open
Infinitely hoping
You will not love alone
Because it must be known
That every love I have ever given
Has been romantic tenfold
I wait for you
Like a dog waits for food
Your presence is like water in a desert
Your love like flowers in the snow
I’ve always thought of you as charismatic
Unfortunately I’m an addict
So I must plead with you,
Beg on my knees for you
Do not watch the stars at night
And wish for more
Because I will be at your door
Whenever you would like to answer
Hoping, praying,
That we love together
(Knock knock, your shooting star has been summoned)
