Write a poem in any form, on any topic you like, which uses a single metaphor throughout.

Try to develop the metaphor as the poem progresses, and use it as a central theme throughout.

Little Bird

Poetry

Soar through the sky

Little bird

They throw stones

But you can dodge them all

Until you can’t

And then you fall

Hit the ground

Try and turn it around

And maybe one day again you’ll fly

But never quite as high

As when you first soared the sky

I like writing both short stories and poetry (mostly scary/sad). I like worldbuilding a lot too. Rn the worlds I’m focused on are called ‘Aydan’ and ‘Of Chaos and Order’ (multiple separate worlds all as one universe so I named them after characters)
