Time
In the sky where purple sunsets glow,
Two riders pause, their hearts heavy with woe.
Upon their steers they sit side by side,
Reflecting on journeys, and love, and pride.
Once they raced through fields wild and free,
Chasing the sun, as bright as could be.
But shadows grew long, and days turned to night,
Each moment a memory, now fading from sight.
They’ve danced through the storms, embraced every fear,
Felt the weight of the world, yet held each other near.
In laughter and sorrow, their spirits entwined,
Through valleys of heartache, their souls were aligned.
Yet time is a thief, with a merciless hand,
It steals all the moments, it shifts like the sand.
Now the sunset, a canvas of purple and gold, paints stories of lives, both tender and bold.
As the stars start to twinkle, the dusk whispers low,
They know in their hearts it’s time to let go.
For the beauty of life is a fleeting embrace,
In the twilight of memories, they find their own grace.
So they sit on their horses, with the world in their sight,
Two souls intertwined, in the soft fading light.
With a final deep breath, they cherish the view,
For in the end, love is the time they both knew.
