POEM STARTER

Write a poem that could be sung as a lullaby.

You could set it to the tune of an existing lullaby, or think up your own rhythm. Remember that lullabies are for children, and are ususally meant to be calming.

Moonlight Whispers

Softly, softly falls the night,

Stars twinkle, oh so bright.

Close your eyes, my little one,

Another day is done.

Dream of clouds so soft and white,

Floating in the pale moonlight.

Gentle breezes sing to you,

Under skies of deepest blue.

Rest your head and drift away,

To lands where moonbeams play.

Till morning sun begins to peep,

Peacefully, my darling, sleep.
