Stone

You’ve hardened your heart.

Your edges now jagged and sharp.

As sharp as your tongue, making me small.

I curl myself up in a ball.

Hiding from you.

I bleed out in your company.

Loud, crashing and cruel you’ve become.

Once my haven.

My safe place, home... was you.

Now I fear I am once again homeless.

Feeling lost. Confused.

Where there was once softness,

Now all has turned to stone.
