POEM STARTER
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon, or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom.
Write a poem which incorporates this line.
🌑
We gaze at its glow with admiration and wonder,
Marveling at this full bright rock we’re under.
We tell it our secrets, wishes and dreams,
But it isn’t as it seems.
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon,
Or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom.
Don’t be tricked, its light isn’t its own.
Darling, you should’ve known, it’s just one big stone.
Once it’s waining you’d realise your mistake,
Dark and desolate, your soul is the lords to take.
