Without Your Love
I’m treading this uncharted land
desperately searching for the feel of your gentle hands.
You've carried me through the dark times and drought,
But where have you disappeared to
For I need you to start the plow.
Every word of love you steadily poured
filled my cup and left me wanting more.
The caring whispers and hearty laughs
brought joy to my soul and bubbles to my bath.
The constant texts at half past five
asking how I've been gave me a reason to smile.
Your very presence was enough to be a meal,
but now I'm famished, only able to kneel.
With your intent gaze and glowing eyes
you stayed beside my weary side.
And alas I never appreciated thy care
for with you gone now, I'm in complete despair.
So please my dear, hasten up before I die;
return to my side and nurse me back to life.
And I promise you from the depths of my heart
I'll give my love to you and you to me
So we'll feast with each other eternally.
