They Were Right

They said I was in the woods

So much for my own good

They said I was crazy

For always being out there

They said it was dangerous

To be so close with the forest

I didn’t listen

I didn’t care

Why would I

I loved the outdoors

But I was becoming to close

I felt the forest reaching out

It beckoned to come closer

To join the woods

I listened

But they were right
