A new start for me,

Being challenged to finally write.

Collecting my thoughts,

Deciphering them and then

Eventually getting them on paper.

For years I’ve tried to

Gain traction with writing.

How can people do it?

I envy the way they

Just make the words flow,

Knowing exactly what to do,

Letting the creativity flow.

Maybe it comes with practice.

No-one climbed a mountain,

Only with a day’s training.

Perhaps it’s confidence or

Quiet determination.

Reading a good book

Surpasses all expectations.

The creation of worlds,

Unimaginable creatures,

Versatile characters

With huge plot twists.

Xerox copies will get you nowhere,

You must write from your heart.

Zealously, I begin my journey.
