"A queen is supposed to be merciful, hm?" She sits tall on her throne, poised and regal. She looks down at her people, having no sympathy for the bloodied and lifeless bodies around her. "Hmm?" She calls out again, but no one dares to look at her. A smile spreads across her lips. "But in this world, being queen means blood."

She takes in the frightened faces filled with loathing and sweet pain. The cracked concrete where her people stand is filled with ash and a horrid smell of human flesh. She spots a man limping with a glare pointed toward her as he stumbles to the front.

He breathes shakingly before sputtering, "You are no queen." The man's voice is raspy and harsh as blood falls from his mouth.

The queen chuckles before filling her face with hatred, looking down at what is merely a rat to her. "I am power. Power beyond what you hold. Beauty beyond what you possess. And you are nothing." She smiles slightly, trying to intimidate him with her rank. She shifts back onto her throne and grabs her staff, slamming it slightly three times at the ground as she winks eerily at the man.

Guards rush to her side, knives and guns pointed at him. But he smiles. He then whistles loudly, a melody that reminds her of a childhood she wishes she once had again.

Suddenly, a rupture comes from the crowd, and people race towards the queen as guards shoot them from every direction.

The man climbs up to her throne, a blade sitting firmly in his hand. He grabs her with a might, holding her throat against her golden seat.

Anger fills his eyes. “This is for killing my daughter.” Tears falls from his eyes as he stabs her through her chest.

Her eyes widen, and a small tear falls

down her evil eyes. She knew it was the end, and she was to blame.

Because this time, a merciless queen may hold power, but it is her people who possess the blood to destroy it.
