the blinding brightness

was there with me

every step of the way

unforgiving light

never ceasing

always blinding me

no escape

but after five

never ending years

i am given a second

of pitch black peace

and in this moment

i relish in my thoughts

no one can see

nobody is watching

not a person knows

that i am finally breathing

as i enjoying this

as only a fleeting moment

the dawn burns

melting away

my only glimps of hope

into a future

but the light

is unforgiving

as i beg

for a moonlit

dusk
