Death is my greatest fear, but I didn’t know he would walk in one day. I was siting on my couch and a rapping sound comes from my front door, almost in time with my heartbeat. Thinking nothing of it I answered the door and was met with a tall dark figure. He was in an impossibly dark coat that almost seemed to suck in all the light around it making the overall light just a bit darker even midday. Of course I was a little creeped out but knew people can choose what they want to wear, so again I wasn’t worried, oh but looking closer was anything but unsuspecting. This figure told me that my death was imanate and should not run as it was no use. I was frozen in place. Nothing could move no matter how much I wanted it to. Then the figure lifted his hood and exposed a rotten corpse looking face that looked like it had been drowned in a river white and puffy, but crawling with insects everywhere. Then suddenly he lifted a single finger, reaching to touch me then it was gone, everything. It was void. An absolute engulfing nothingness.
