Crying heart pt 1
“Okay, I’ll be ready by five.” He tells Luda, and then walks away.
He’s only taken about twenty steps when Anya catches up with him.
“Vasil, I can’t believe you’re going with her!”
“Anya, we’ve talked about this, you can’t judge her based on a ‘_gut feeling’_. She’s nice and I want to go with her, plus, she needs help getting there.” Vasil says.
Anya shakes her head sadly, and then looks at Vasil’s dark brown eyes. _He’s so naïve, _she thinks. Anya has more than just a ‘_gut feeling’ _about Luda, but she can’t bring herself to tell Vasil. It would break his heart.
“You’re making a mistake,” she whispers sadly, and then walks away.
Vasil feels a surge of burning hatred in his heart. _Anya is so entitled, and she acts like she knows everything about everyone._ _Luda is kind and loving and she wants me to come, and Anya is just jealous, _He thinks_. _And then he is consumed by thoughts of this trip to the city with Luda, and about what a good time they will have.
As Anya watches them board the bus at five, she can feel her heart crying from the inside out. Vasil, her best friend, off on a road to get his heart broken by the girl who Anya had once called her sister away from home.
