Write a poem with the title ‘Clear as Crystal’.
Images of clarity and purity are often associated with religious or romantic writing. You may follow tradition, or perhaps you could invert this imagery.
Voided But Clear As Crystal…
Inside my head the darkness reaches; pulling my heart into shadowed pieces. I wonder what it would be like, to find certainty. To know that stretch of life beyond my dreams; I'm voided honestly. Such a feverish soul, drawing storms in the fabric of my mind. It's all pain and breath, and the ways we scream to die. Inside clumsy little lullabies, is how I've grown to shiver. Drifting, and sipping, ah, my nightmares draped in distant silver...
