The Real Truth
Witches and Fairies.
They have been opposites since the beginning of time, almost mirroring images of one another. Different sides of the same coin.
Fairies are the good guys. They have sparkly wings and star tipped wands. They wear pink and pastels and showered in glitter. They use their magic for good.
Witches are the enemy. They wear black makeup and dark clothes. Black cats are their partners in crime. They are the embodiments of evil. They practice black magic.
But that’s not how it began.
Once upon a time, they were one in the same.
There were no born witches. Everyone was born a fairy.
But something changed. The power shifted.
The counsel of fairies decided that the criminals deserved a harsher punishment. All fairies with a record would be banished and have their wings taken away. Their light magic would be stripped.
These fairies still had the potential for magic, but with no light magic, the affinity for dark capabilities manifested.
As more witches and fairies are born and generations grow, the history of the beginning of witches fade. Until it is a just a story, a legend.
Told from two different sides.
The distortions to the history fuels the hate and judgements.
The worst battles are when both sides think they are right.
