(New ongoing story!)

“Welcome, one and all to the Battle of Champions. We have gathered worthy champions from all around the universe and here they are!” An announcer’s voice echoes through the arena as the crowd cheers. “First up we have Manali from Planet X-Minka.” An orange humanoid creature enters the ring with a determined look on her face. She waves an orange tinted hand towards the crowd.

“I will fight for my home planet,” Manali says her voice carrying in the wind as she moves to a new spot in the ring.

“Next up we have Akuva from planet Yomno,” A dark blue skinned humanoid enters the ring with a black blindfold across his eyes. He ignores other competitors as the announcer calls them in. “And now who you’ve all been waiting for… the first human to ever conpete in the Battle of Champions. Jasmine from planet Earth!” I walk into the arena and the crowd cheers and some boo. Let me rewind for a second and tell you how I got here, shall we?

I had just gotten home from school that day when I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to find a package with no return address. I tried to ignore the package after all nothing good comes out of mysterious packages. Sadly curiosity got the best of me and I opened it. Five marbles were inside the box along with a letter.

It read

Dear Jasmine,

Your application to the Battle of Champions has been accepted. Have caution, the challenge isn’t for the faint of heart. See you in the arena Champion of Earth.

I turned my attention to the five marbles at the bottom of the box. The moment my fingers came in contact with the cold smooth metal the marbles started to spin and form what looked to be a portal. I definitely didn’t go through it… I went through it.

The world blurred and it felt as if I was falling. My limbs tingled and my gag reflex was activated. I landed in an empty room that looked similar to my room at home except, however, for the screen on the wall.

WELCOME, CHAMPION OF EARTH

I jumped backward startled by the robotic voice.

“Uh… where am I?”

YOU ARE ON PLANET ROKO ALSO KNOWN AS THE IN-BETWEEN PLANET. THE ELDERS HOLD EVERY MULTI PLANET EVENT HERE THAT INCLUDES THE BATTLE OF CHAMPIONS. THE BATTLE IF CHAMPIONS IS A SACRED EVENT. EVERY YEAR A COMPETITOR FROM EVERY PLANET IT CHOSEN TO COMPETE. THE PLANETS OF X-MINKA, YOMNO, GASHIMA, SHIRONAKO, AND OTHERS. YOU MAY BEFRIEND AND TEAM UO WITH OTHER COMPETITORS, BUT BE WARNED BETRAYLL IS ALWAYS A POSSIBILITY. YOU WILL UNDERGO FIFTEEN TRIALS. ONE AT THE END IF EVERY WEEK. AFTER EACH TRIAL TWO COMPETITORS ARE ELIMINATED. THE VICTOR BRING HONOR TO THEIR PLANET AND IS GRANRED THE TITLE OF THE GREAT CHAMPION. YOU CAN NEVER HAVE MORE THAN THREE ALLIES AND NO DEADLY INJURIES. GOOD LUCK YOUNG CHAMPION OF EARTH ITS TIME FOR YOUR ENTRANCE.

Great! Now you’re all caught up. I join the group of other competitors. Now that the original shock had worn off for the most part, I was extremely curious. I stand up straight trying to look brave dispute the confusion I was feeling at the moment.

“First time?” A voice says from beside me. I looked to see the huminoid introduced as Manali. She was pretty, not in a romantic way, just the way she held herself. Confidently.

“You could say that.” I reply.

“No worries, I’ll help you out but if you make it to the final battle it’s everyone for themself.” She says. The announcer starts to speak and Manali nudges me with her elbow.

“Competitors get ready to know your competition and get ready because as the end of this week is your first challenge. Taming the Evergreen!” The crowd cheers.

Well here’s hoping I don’t die.
