The sunrise wakes me with a gentle glow

A respectful plea to dance in our room

I cozy myself up close to his back

Mews like fairy bells hopscotch to my ears

Her fur decorated like intricate lace

My robe holds tight the warmth of our bed

Plush carpet and mews lead me down the hall

And watch from windows fluttering snowfall

I sit by the window on a pillow handmade

And write a poem to the song in my head
