The Message
They were not like us, they were so calm, so emotionless, so methodical, so accurate. Their ruthlessness lacked violence, will, desire. We always were means to an end for them: objects to shift, deposit, cull. For a while, this was so utterly shocking to us, a paralysing effect that turned us into those very objects from inside out. And inch by cruel inch the world finally became the clockwork society they had in mind: organic assured perfection. But here I am now, and this is for you as a testament to one simple truth: nothing can ever stay the same, perfection is the constant overturning of the status quo. When this message finds you, know that things will be so inconceivably different from how they used to be. Some will be better, some not so great — you be the judge — but they will be different and they will blow your mind. And know that there’s only one source that drives this unrelenting course of infinite change, something that reverberates in the heart of the universe just as deeply as it does in our souls: hope.
