Password

The buttons moved under the pressure of his fingers. Each impression connected an electrical pulse to the mastermind behind the screen. A rectangular box and digital arrow button was displayed in front of him. Each touch of the board of keys converted an asterisk within that rectangular box. A password was needed by the brain controlling the the fingers that pressed the keys. A button that looked like half an inflated T that sat in the middle was hit particularly strongly by his right thumb causing a louder thud against the back of the board.


Red writing greeted in response to his action and his brain retorted in frustration. The keys were again pressed in a sequence different to the one before by the fingers on his hand, controlled by his brain. This time, the thumb pressed the inflated half T cautiously with less conviction as if it’s morale had been sapped at its first attempt. The rectangular box and digital arrow button disappeared from the view of his eyes. And the whole world behind the screen was displayed before him.
